Slave Lake community discussion on Facebook has become an important part of the Slave Lake community. Sharon Watchel didn’t start the page, but has been the sole moderator for the last three or four years.
Moderating the Facebook page is “a fun thing to do,” Watchel says.
“I got bored,” Charlette Flemming says, in answer to the question why she opened a new restaurant in Smith.
“I love the people of Smith,” she continued. “I love being around them. This is what I do.”
