Addictions Don’t Discriminate is an interactive, exhibition brought to Slave Lake by Alberta Health Services and the Town of Slave Lake Family and Community Support Services. The poster says, “Through the power of storytelling, this exhibit offers a glimpse into the complex world of addictions, uncovering the human experience that lies beneath the statistics and stigma. Shared stories, shown in connection to one another, push us to look beyond someone’s substance use and into the lived experience of each individual with empathy and compassion, to help us understand that ‘Addictions Don’t Discriminate’.”
Time: Dec. 6 (noon to 7 p.m.), Dec. 7 (10 a.m. to 7 p.m.), and Dec. 8 (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.)
Location: Northern Lakes College gym, Slave Lake
