Slave Lake, Alberta – For the first time in several years, Community Futures Lesser Slave Lake, The Slave Lake & District Chamber of Commerce, The Town of Slave Lake, and The Alberta Ministry of Labour and Immigration have formed a Labour Market partnership as a means to bring three major events to the Slave Lake area.
The second major event will happen on April 23-24 at the Northern Lakes College gym and will be a job fair that focuses on helping fill summer employment gaps for local businesses, and will be aimed at students returning to the community for the summer and other general job seekers. Throughout the day, there will be a panel of women currently working in the trades discussing their decisions to work as tradespeople; as well as a keynote speaker presenting on achieving success in a multigenerational workforce. Employer booths are available for sale ($50 for the day including lunch), and the general public is welcome to attend for free.
Further details of each event is available on the myslavelake.com website and will be advertised in the community in upcoming weeks.
