The Slave Lake and Area Mental Health Network (SLAM) meets every month. It is a grassroots movement to improve individual and collective mental health and wellness. It uses a community and strengths-based approach to listen to the community, build on existing resources, identify gaps, and together innovate Slave Lake and area-based mental health and wellbeing initiatives.

It is open to anyone who lives in Slave Lake and the M.D. of Lesser Slave River. People do not have to be

able to attend meetings to be engaged.

Time: third Thursday of the month alternating lunch and evening meetings. Each meeting is 45 minutes. 2021 dates – (the pattern continues into 2022). 

Noon to 12:45 p.m. – Sept. 16 and Nov. 18

7 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. – Oct. 21 and Dec. 16
