The Lesser Slave Lake Bird Observatory (LSLBO)’s annual Songbird Festival is a fun educational weekend for families and birders. Includes pancake breakfast (starting at 6:30 a.m.), birding tours, a barbecue lunch, and various bird-themed crafts and events.

Time:

• Day 1 – May 27 6:30 to 1:30 a.m., guided birding tours run 7 to 8 a.m. 7 to 11 a.m. bus to LSLBO banding station for tour.
• Day 2 – May 28 – 17th Annual Bird Run/Walk (5K/10K) – the fun run starts at 10 a.m. sharp

Location: Boreal Centre for Bird Conservation

Cost: event is free, meals and the annual 5km run (on May 28) are fundraisers.
