The Mailbox Program: Healthy Parent-Child Communication Learning Circle is an education session for Slave Lake families with (children aged six to 12) this summer. Join us to learn how to develop your family’s communication skills this summer. The Mailbox Program asssists children, who have had difficult experiences, such as parents’ separation or family violence, communication more effectively with their parents. The program takes place over four Wednesdays in August. The program is put on by Northern Haven Support Society and the Rotary Club of Slave Lake Public Library.
Upon completion of all four sessions, participating families receive a library membership, backpacks and school supplies free of charge.
Time: Four Wednesdays (Aug. 3, 10, 17, and 24) either 10 to 11 a.m. or 1 to 2 p.m.
Location: Slave Lake Public Library
Cost: free.
