Zander Smith (12) started collecting toys for Santas Anonymous in Slave Lake five years ago. The first year, he brought six toys, this year (2021) he fundraised for 121, says a social media post by the Slave Lake Native Friendship Centre. His goal was 120.
According to a Leader article, in 2019, Smith raised funds for 93 toys.
Barb Courtorielle, executive director of the Slave Lake Native Friendship Centre, accepts the toys. Santas Anonymous delivers food hampers and toys to families who otherwise wouldn’t have a very merry Christmas.
