Slave Lake’s Visitor Information Centre opened on May 23, and eight days later, travel counsellor Colbin Burnett was just opening up when The Leader paid a visit. It’s been pretty quiet so far, he says. The guest book shows a couple of visitors from California, one from Texas and a couple from Nurnberg, Germany, probably on their way to the Northwest Territories. Burnett says the VIC will have its gift shop set up pretty soon.
