Kokum’s Outreach is holding a summer showcase with mini demostrations of smoked fish making, dry meat making, traditional dancing and singing with Nimihto Mistatim Dancing Horse Co. (Tina Isadore and family), hand games, tipi set-up with Allan Koski and crew, historical tent, bannock-on-a-stick and peppermint tea making with Libby and gang. There will also be chakra massage, reiki, arts and crafts area, elder’s medicine walk and talks, AHS Counseling, wheel of life card readings, healing through painting, and much more.
Time: July 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Location: Just off Hwy #2 North on Range Road 131 (13032) ‘Hippy Hill’ (between Driftpile and Joussard) in the County of Big Lakes, Alberta.
Cost: free, all attendees are entered to win a mystery gift.
