Fifty teams took part in the 2022 Canadian Tire Anglers Cup walleye tournament. Billy Flemming and his son Laken won the tournament.

Weather was variable, but manageable, and the fish seemed to be biting pretty well.

Teams got to weigh in a total of four fish per day, and very little weight separated one from another in the top 10.
The winning team, Billy and Laken Fleming, had a two-day total weight in walleye of 32.22 lbs. That earned them the top prize of $16,500. The duo also picked up $1,700 for having the top weight on Day 2 of the competition.

It was not the first win for Fleming Sr., who took top spot back in 2010, though with a different partner. He also finished ninth in the 2021 Anglers Cup.

Taking second overall, and winning $6,500 were Zach Bowen and Clayton Royer, with a total weight of 32.02 lbs.

In third, place, with a weight of 31.12 lbs, was the duo of Craig Hutton and Darryl Williams.

Defending champs Ken Porisky and Dave Taylor of Slave Lake managed only a 37th-place finish this time around.
