Slave Lake’s Pioneer Drop-in Centre, and the volunteer organization that runs it, turned 50 in 2023. Last week at the board meeting, the Town of Slave Lake presented a plaque to the group, recognizing its half-century of service to the community. Presenting the plaque to Pioneers’ President Carl Jevne is Town of Slave Lake Seniors Coordinator Tammy Kendall.
