Leader staff
The Town of Slave Lake is looking for input on its annual Frost Fest event.
Frost Fest takes place (usually) in the week leading up to the Family Day Weekend in February, runs through that weekend and culminates with some fun activities on the holiday Monday. This year, it runs February 11 to 20.
Coincidentally, February 20 is also Louis Riel Day.
Last week, Jaime Norberg of the town sent out an invitation for groups and individuals to ‘brainstorm’ ideas for Frost Fest activities. Here’s the gist of her email:
“It’s that time of year again! We’re planning Frost Fest and we’re looking for individuals/organizations to join in on this week full of community fun. If you have an activity/event that you’d like to propose for Frost Fest 2023, please let me know. No activity or event is too big or small. If you want to participate but you’re not sure what to do, please contact me and we can brainstorm on how you can become involved.
“I look forward to hearing from you!”
