Grade 8 to 12 students from Wabasca, Calling Lake, Kinuso, Smith and Slave Lake (St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Academy, Roland Michener Secondary School and Lakeside Outreach) came to Slave Lake on March 8 to check out a forestry job fair in the Northern Lakes College gym. They watched presentations about jobs in the forestry industry and spoke with representatives from Vanderwell Contractors, Slave Lake Pulp, Slave Lake Veneer, Tolko, Alberta Wildfire, Junior Forest Rangers, an organization called Careers, Northern Lakes College, Portage College, Workwild and the Lesser Slave Forest Education Society.
