The Slave Lake Icedogs suffered their customary shellacking at the hands of the High Prairie Redwings in their most recent meeting. This was a home game on Saturday night.

The Icedogs got outscored 10 – 0, which isn’t too bad considering they were outshot 81 – 14. Whoever picks the game’s stars was impressed enough with Slave Lake goalie Shawn Davis they named him first star of the contest.

That was the only game on the weekend for the Icedogs. They are back in action this Friday in High Prairie. On Saturday, they host Gibbons. No longer the worst team in the league, Gibbons has beaten the Icedogs in their last two meetings.
