The weather did not cooperate for the Memorial Scramble at Gilwood Golf Club on Canada Day, but 70 golfers didn’t let that stop them. Second off the first tee in the rain was Evan Baranyk in the nine-hole event. It was held in memory of former Gilwood groundskeeper Leard Robertson and former Gilwood manager Tony Griffi, who both died, unexpectedly and tragically, in the past couple of years.
