Slave Lake’s two senior boys high school basketball teams went at it hammer and tongs in a Feb. 2 game played at Roland Michener School. It was evenly matched and went right down to the wire. After regulation time it was tied at 53.
The Roland Rams got the better of the St. Francis Falcons in overtime, winning the game 64 – 59.
“It was very competitive,” says St. Francis Principal Melton Moyo. “I was so impressed by both teams.”
“It was a hard-fought game,” says Rams’ coach Chris Rowe. “For an MVP, it was probably Jasper Cabel. He’s a good team player, and got us a lot of points.”
