The inaugural event for Reed’s Rink, the mini-stick facility in Slave Lake’s Multi Rec Centre, after a long delay due to COVID, was finally held on April 9. It drew a big crowd of kids and family members to play and watch a mini-stick tournament. As for who won? We didn’t get that information by press time. The rink is named in memory of Reed Churchill, who was a standout player in the Slave Lake minor hockey system.
