Pearl Lorentzen

Lakeside Leader

Both St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Academy Falcons and Roland Michener Secondary School Rams competed at senior high badminton zones in Edmonton on April 26.

St. Francis of Assisi Falcons sent its intermediate boys badminton doubles team (Skyler Kropp and Levi Jeffery). The duo finished third in their round robin pool, just short of making it to the playoffs.

“Our team did well,” says Rams coach Brandon Rubisch. “We won no medals, but it was a great learning experience and a fun day overall.”

Rams Guneet Singh (senior boys singles) placed fourth. Miryam Abunada and Kayleigh Nahachick (junior girls doubles) placed sixth. Chloe Bonnell (senior girls singles) placed seventh.
