On June 16, 2023, at approximately 11:00 a.m., Slave Lake RCMP responded to reports of a robbery and theft of a motor vehicle.

RCMP located an injured male and observed he had obtained significant facial injuries. He reported he was robbed of his vehicle and a quantity of cash. Emergency Medical Services attended and assisted to care for the individual while Slave Lake RCMP, along with the Slave Lake General Investigation Section, initiated an investigation.

Three people have been charged as a result. One is a 27-year-old woman from Faust; she is charged with robbery, aggravated assault and taking a motor vehicle without consent.

Two Slave Lake men, 28 and 35, are charged with, robbery and assault causing bodily harm.

A 29-year-old Slave Lake man is charged with robbery, assault causing bodily harm and theft of a motor vehicle.

Three of the accused people had judicial interim release hearings and were released for court in Slave Lake. Court dates are June 28, July 12 and July 19, 2023.

The fourth suspect is still on the loose and there is an outstanding warrant for his arrest.
