Roland Michener Rams’ football players were working with a device called a ‘tackle wheel’ at their Aug. 31 practice. Coaches would roll the wheel back and forth between them and the players took turns throwing themselves at it and putting it on the ground. They get to do that against real football players, starting on Sept. 16. That’s the home opener of the inaugural Rams’ six-on-six season. If you want to come out and cheer on the home town squad, it’s at 4:30 p.m. on that Friday afternoon.
