Last week we reported a bit on the zone darts tournament at the Slave Lake Legion. How the local players did we did not find out in time for that edition, so here goes: Two Slave Lake teams placed third in their respective categories. That didn’t qualify them for provincials, but it did get them on a sort of ‘standby’ list. If one or the other of the qualifying teams can’t attend provincials, the Slave Lakers can step up in their place. In the Seniors category, the third-place team was made up of Peter Baker, Carol Baker, Michelle LaBonte and Dixon Twin, with Terry Triskle as a spare. In the Legion category, the third-place team was Perry and Trina Whittle, Francis McDonald and Brad Whittle, with Willie Skinner and Dixon Twin as spares.
