Jan. 27 wasn’t a typical steak night at the Slave Lake Legion. The food was just as good as ever, but there was a special presentation half-way through. Beth McDonald, Legion president and all around good egg, received the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal. Here she receives it from Terry Triskle, Legion vice-president.
