Left to right, Slave Lake Heat 15U baseball players Nico Diaz, Colby Campbell, and Lucas Diaz were part of the Zone 8 team at Alberta Summer Games. The Zone 8 team lost all four games in the tournament in Okotoks on July 21 to 23.
15U Heat coach Kevin Campbell says, “All three boys did really well … The roster sizes for each is 16 players so getting into games can be difficult when the coaches don’t really know what they have. Both Colby Campbell and Nico Diaz saw some innings on the mounds, and all three (including Lucas Diaz) hit and played really well defensively for Zone 8. The boys made some new friends and had a great experience!”
