On Jan. 1, 2022, at 11:35 p.m., the Slave Lake RCMP responded to a call of a break and enter in progress at a business in the northwest quadrant of town. Several witnesses reported that a man and woman were inside the business and the front windows were broken.

The Slave Lake RCMP attended the scene and were advised that the suspects ran southwest. The Slave Lake RCMP patrolled the area and located a man and woman hiding on private property and were arrested.

A 24-year-old Slave Lake man and a 2-year-old woman from Loon Lake are charged with break and enter.

Following a judicial hearing, both subjects were released to attend Slave Lake Provincial Court on Feb. 2, 2022 and Jan. 19, 2022 respectively.

The Slave Lake RCMP continues to investigate this matter.
