Here are a few photos from Valentine’s Day in Slave Lake sent in by the local schools and Slave Lake Native Friendship Centre. The Regional Arts Council also had a take-home Valentine’s Day kit.

They are part of the leadership team and made the costumes to wear while delivering treats. In the afternoon, they delivered a chocolate treat to every student and staff member.

Crafty seniors

One of the Valentines made by seniors at the Slave Lake Native Friendship Centre as part of ‘made for seniors by seniors.’ The seniors made valentines, which they gave to residents at Vanderwell Heritage Place (aka. the Lodge). This valentine has the Cree word kisakihikawin, which means ‘I love you.’
